I am a fully licensed Masters Level Social Worker in the State of Michigan. I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Masters In Social Work.
I found my passion in treating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Anxiety. I also have extensive experience working with people on the Autism spectrum. I work with a wide range of clients who may be seeking treatment for intrusive thoughts, navigating life stressors, and processing difficult emotions.
Seeking and finding the right therapist for your needs can be a difficult process. I work with clients using a person centered approach, focusing on strengths and coping skills for various mental health challenges. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy methods, such as Radical Acceptance to devalue unwanted thoughts
According to the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), ACT is:
“a unique empirically based psychological intervention that uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies, together with commitment and behavior change strategies, to increase psychological flexibility.”
What if you could accept and allow yourself to feel what you feel, even if it’s negative? ACT helps guide the mind to Acceptance, and commitment to one’s true values.
